Argo wins Best Picture, falsehood revealed

E-mail Print PDF

I was furious when I saw the movie Argo. In it, Ben Affleck plays a CIA agent who is the hero of the movie, taking credit for rescuing the six American hostages in Iran.

This rescue operation was a wonderfully heroic Canadian effort to help their neighbours.

Adopting pets in Panama

E-mail Print PDF

This really funny story came in from June, who lives in Gorgona - one of the Pacific beaches communities in Panama's interior. Before I re-print it, I did want to mention that most expats in Panama simply adopt a stray. We adopted our cat - Charlie Chapline from expats Tina and Scott who had rescued her as a tiny kitten living inside a cinderblock at a local building materials store. There are easily rescued dogs, cats, horses, monkeys and even parrots from local vets and animal adoption charities.

Here is the cat story - very, very funny.

Awesome 3 D video

This is from Jackie in Toronto. Roberto

This is absolutely brilliant .......
Somebody had a lot of fun with this and spent hours putting these clips together. Most of the people in the
clips were deceased before the Bee Gee's recorded "Stayin' Alive." Whether you are a Bee Gee's or Rita
Hayworth fan or not...I think you are going to enjoy this!!! It shows one thing and that is the music may
change but the moves are timeless.
