One of our members/donors, PanamAuto of Gorgona called me yesterday afternoon. Their son Justine, who works for the company was in Costa Rica - and had been denied entry back into Panama. The border guard claimed it was because only had $30 cash on him, and no credit card. Len and Lynn called me - and I gave the the Boquete HOTLINE number - (our sister organization) and here is their response:

Thanks NHN

Justin is stamped into Panama after the border guard counted his money. He had the required $500 we wired him..
He should be home by midnight.

I asked a Lawyer here how much to get a work VISA ... between $2,500 and $3,000 - which is a lot for a one-year Visa, Justine is on the business corporation, so he should be able to get one.

Thanks NHN

Lynn and Len

EDITOR: I am sending this to Enrique - see if he feels that the work-permit visa price quoted above is right. Roberto
