Murder rate increasing in El Salvador

 EL SALVADOR

In the first 11 days of July 2010, the Salvadoran National Civil Police (PNC) registered 101 murders.

Between January 1 and July 17, 2010 the PNC had registered 2,278 homicides in El Salvador, most of them committed with firearms.
