The teacher, Maria and two of her students with Nicole, our elf. They have no books, no paper, no pencils - We are buying them all of this for the new year.
Jose met with the elders to discuss what they feel the village needs most — they asked for a source of electricity so they can set up an internet connection for their children to study. We are going to raise money to get either an electrical generator or a solar power system, a computer and internet service for the village.
Xoko's Restaurant in Santa Clara prepared a thirty pound traditional Christmas ham. Dania made potato salad for 120 people, Roberto made a caesar salad and Mrs. Jose made a peach flan. Roberto provided the pop, donuts and presents for 60 + kids, and Jose provided the pinatas - a great day was had by all.
